Ryder Cup 2010
Glanusk Park AND THE RYDER CUP
We still have some accommodation available for the Ryder Cup, but act quickly! Contact Daisy or Debbie on 01873 810 414 or info@glanuskestate.com to discuss.
We are very excited and proud that the Ryder Cup is coming to Wales in 2010. During this tournament, The Glanusk Estate is offering the unique experience of staying at Glanusk Lodge on the Estate. This is the first time in the Estate's 200 year history that Glanusk Lodge has been made available.
Situated on the northern bank of the River Usk and only 35 minutes away form the Ryder Cup Course, Glanusk Lodge overlooks the river and is adjacent to the private 9 hole golf course, redesigned in 2007 by Jim Mackenzie from The Celtic Manor. With use of over 800 acres of woodland, 400 acres of parkland and 4 miles of the River Usk, this is truly a one off experience never to forget.
Glanusk Lodge has 6 bedrooms with further accommodation for 4 people within the park walls at cosy Garden Cottage. The lodge has a drawing room, dining room and kitchen with incredible views, nestled within the ornate garden walls. Perhaps, for a change of scene, we can organize dinner in the Rod Room or in the Tower overlooking the River Usk. At the front of the house there is a large lawn should guests request to entertain with a marquee. Penmyarth comes fully staffed and every need can be taken care of by the Estate Team. Mountain bikes are on hand if you wish to have some adventures or simply walk through the grounds enjoying the very best Welsh Countryside.
Inclusive in this offer is fishing for salmon and trout daily for 6 to 8 rods with ghillie on the River Usk, walked up grouse shooting, simulated game shooting using the existing drives from the Estate shoot and some rough shooting should guests request this option.
This is a wonderful opportunity for friends, family and colleagues to enjoy the very best of Wales in an exclusive and spectacular setting, just a short distance away from what promises to be a fantastic tournament.
Please do call either Harry or Iona Legge-Bourke on 01873 810414 should you wish to discuss any details further.
